2026 Tour Pricing: Good News
Oregon/Washington 2026: Last year’s price increases were painful – for you and us. There’s a lot that goes into determining our pricing (you can ask us about it at the Zoom Forum; see below), but here’s the literal bottom line for 2026: Our ride price for our two regular tours is not increasing. Both Oregon 2026 and Washington 2026 are 7 days, and both are $1,995.
Nothing else is going up, either: Non-Rider Vehicle spots will still be $800, Tent & Porter will still be $450, and chair and e-bike fees will remain $25. Jerseys, rental tents, mattresses… all the same as last year. We’re cautiously optimistic that both rides will fill up this summer, which will help this pencil out.
Walla Walla on Wheels: We’ve settled on our pricing structure for this inaugural event, and we’re keeping it affordable, flexible and customizable. Here’s how it will work:
- Base Fee: The base fee for riders will be $795. For non-riding partners, it’s $395. This covers the cost of operating the event.
- Accommodations: You can choose between tent camping, a dorm room or local lodging.
- For tent camping, we’ll provide a tent, plus a chair and mattress for each person (limited to 25 tents). Including Whitman College access fees, it’s $285 for one person, $345 for two.
- Dorm rooms cost $70 per night for single occupancy, $50 per person for double occupancy. With access fees, it’s $410 for one person and $620 for two (limited, but there are 120+ rooms available).
- If you choose lodging, you’ll pay for this on your own. We’ll be providing links to specific properties near campus, at a range of prices.
- Meal Plan: You’ll be able to choose exactly how many meals you want as part of the event. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served at Cleveland Commons, Whitman College’s award-winning campus food-service venue. When you register, you’ll choose which days and meals you want, and only pay for those. This way you can skip lunch if it’s not your thing on riding days, or plan ahead to have a couple dinners at restaurants in town… it’s up to you. We’re still working with Bon Appetit, the vendor, on specific meal pricing, but it will be reasonable.
Zoom Forum: Bring Your Questions!
One thing that becomes clear every year when we read our rider surveys is that we haven’t conveyed all the necessary info. This is based on comments about site selection, route stop locations, and many, many more topics. (For the record: We always look first for overnight sites in shady parks with swimming holes; it’s just that not many towns have them – or will let us use them. Same with rest stops: We have to go with what’s available within the right mileage range.)
But now you have the chance to ask us anything – well, anything about BRNW, anyway. On Monday, November 24, at 7 p.m. PST, we’re hosting a Zoom call for anyone who’d like to ask or listen to questions. BRNW Board President Matt McTee will moderate, and Executive Director Jim Moore will answer questions. This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t been on a BRNW tour – or anyone who’s just curious about something. (Our apologies if the time doesn't work for where you are.) Use this link to join us on the 24th.
Route Details
It’s never too soon to look at maps, right? This year we’re providing links to the Ride With GPS route maps right now. NOTE: These files will change, as we refine routes, add stops and notes, etc. Host towns and sites can also change. These links are just so you can get a good feel for where we’re going. (Second note: there will be longer/shorter options on some days.)

Just a reminder note. Open registration begins Wednesday, December 10, at 6:00 p.m. PST for BRNW Oregon 2026 and BRNW Washington 2026. Registration for Walla Walla on Wheels opens Friday, December 12, also at 6:00 p.m. PST.
Also, remember that only your event registration will be done through BikeReg; everything else – Tent & Porter service, Walla Walla lodging and meals, event jerseys – will be done on the BRNW Retail page. We’ll have the Retail page updated and ready by the time registration opens.
E-bikes Welcome!
We want to make it clear: We welcome our participants who ride e-bikes. For one thing, it’s a reality of our demographic that a lot of us have an e-bike in our future – if we don’t have one already. Another factor is that e-bikes are a great way to equalize the road for couples or friends who want to ride together. So we support e-bikes, and will do everything we can to make them feel welcomed.
There are only two real concerns we have: rider safety and crew safety. Meaning, we don’t want someone who doesn’t have experience with group riding/touring to come out and put other riders at risk because they don’t ride safely. And our crew – SAGs in particular – aren’t necessarily able to deal with behemoth 60-pound rental e-bikes. (I speak from experience here. 😊)
So here’s the update: If you want to bring an e-bike on a BRNW big tour, all we want to know is that you know what you’re doing, and what bike you’re bringing. That’s not meant to be condescending; as noted, we just want to ensure all riders are safe for the others around them.
If you’d like to bring an e-bike on one of our three big tours for 2026, just drop us a note ahead of time, and let us know two things: 1) Which tour(s) you want to bring an e-bike on, and 2) What kind of bike you’ll be bringing (make/model). We need to know how many e-bikes are coming so we can have the corresponding charging capacity. For those who have brought e-bikes before, no worries; you're good to continue. If you haven't, we’ll follow up to confirm details.
Last thought: If you bring an e-bike, you’ll need to buy an “E-bike pass” on the BRNW Retail page ($25) after you register. This helps pay for the charging infrastructure as we acquire and expand it.
Small Tours – Interest Lists
We’ve had a strong response for spots on our 2026 small tours in Santa Barbara, Utah and Sicily. We’ll contact everyone on the lists directly with an update and more tour details, and then have drawings to see who will get spots on each tour. Everyone has until Nov. 30 to get on one or more interest lists. If you haven't yet: Email us with the tour and which version(s) you want to be on the list for, and how many people are part of the entry (4 max; couples or groups can only have one entry per tour or week).
BRNW Loyalty Program – Early Registration
We’re working through our rider database to determine who will get to register one day early for the Oregon and Washington 2026 tours. As a reminder, it’s based on how many tours you’ve done in the last “X” number of years; we adjust the criteria to produce a list of 150-200 riders, and then allot a certain number of slots for each ride to be available during early registration. We’ll directly notify everyone who qualifies this year; if you don’t see an email, sign up during open registration on Dec. 10.
Cheers,
Jim
