BRNW SMALL-GROUP TOURS
We offer a unique way to bike tour – custom itineraries, nightly lodging, full route support and the personalized attention only a small group can get. Whether it’s a public tour where you’ll meet new people, or a private one for your group of friends, the relaxed vibe of our small-group tours is an ideal way to ride. We ran multiple small tours in 2024, and it was pretty fantastic.
Our custom-configured trailer fits up to 12 bikes plus baggage and supplies, and we rent a 15-passenger van. This gives us the flexibility to transport all the riders and gear anywhere at any time, so we can adjust routes based on weather, drive to routes from a central hub, go to restaurants or local attractions together… it’s the best of a vacation and a bike tour, combined.
Quick Tour Details
Pricing: Pricing is determined by taking the total cost to operate the tour and dividing it by the number of riders. The price shown is an informed estimate, based on 10 riders staying in upscale lodging. You can choose to stay 5 or 6 nights.
What’s Included: These are all-inclusive trips; we provide full food and beverages each day, lodging, transportation, guides, GPS route files, baggage service and more.
Daily Routes: We have multiple local routes to choose from. We ask each person their general riding pace; we try to avoid mixing very fast and very slow riders in the same group. The general baseline for a route is 40-65 miles per day, from relatively flat to several thousand feet of climbing. We have options for longer/steeper segments if riders want them, and you can SAG at any time.
Support: You’ll have two experienced BRNW guides, Jim and Burk, who have led and entertained riders together for years; one will ride with the group each day, while the other drives the support vehicle. You’ll have printed route maps and turn-by-turns available, as well as RWGPS files for downloading to your phone or GPS device. The support vehicle will stay with the group all day, to provide rides if needed as well as mechanical assistance. There will be rest stops each day with a buffet of food and drinks, plus you’ll have access to clothing, gear, food and drink and more throughout the day.
Customized Food and Beverage: Before the tour, we’ll ask you what your preferences are for sports drinks and other beverages, fruits and vegetables, proteins, and snacks and candy – before, during and after the ride. We’ll shop accordingly, so you have your personal favorites with you on the tour. Meals are typically a light buffet for breakfast, full rest stops during the ride, an after-ride happy hour if time allows, and dinner based on the group’s preference (sit-down restaurant, takeout or a shared meal at the lodging).

Southern Utah
October 2025 – dates and pricing TBD based on group preferences (10 max)
We toured this area for the first time in 2024, and it was epic. Arches, Canyonlands, Natural Bridges, the Burr Trail, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase/Escalante, Bryce, Zion – it’s a geologic wonderland, and by far the best way to see it is on a bike – just ask any of our 2024 riders. We know the best spots now: great food, fun lodging, unique photo opps, uncrowded hikes and more. This tour can be shorter or longer, and include hiking days or just riding; it’s up to the riders. Email if you’re interested.
BRNW Europe 2025
BRNW is going international! Former BRNW Executive Director Sanna Phinney and her husband Chuck live in France, and they’re organizing two tours in fall 2025:
- Trans-Pyrenees – Sept. 13-29 (15 days of riding; $4,300 per person double occupancy)
- Catalonia and Costa Brava – Oct. 1-15 (13 days of riding; $3,750 per person double occupancy)
The tours are supported by IberoCycle, and include 3- or 4-star hotels, daily breakfasts and happy hours, and most dinners.
This idea was so popular that we ended up having to hold a lottery for the available spots – but we don't currently have a waitlist for the Pyrenees tour, so if you're interested in that one, email us..
Custom Group Tours
Plan a custom tour for your group of up to 10 riders. Together we determine when and where you’d like to ride, what kind of terrain and daily distance you prefer, what level of lodging you want, etc., and then put together an itinerary that fits your group perfectly. The flexible transportation model means we can set up a hub-and-spoke, a point-to-point or whatever you want, and we can connect routes so you only ride the highlights. Email us to inquire about a custom tour.
Rider Feedback from 2024:
“Having a smaller group allows flexibility. We can all fit in the van and all our bikes fit in your trailer!”
