BRNW SMALL-GROUP TOURS
We offer a unique way to bike tour – custom itineraries, nightly lodging, full route support and the personalized attention only a small group can get. Whether it’s a public tour where you’ll meet new people, or a private one for your group of friends, the relaxed vibe of our small-group tours is an ideal way to ride. We've run multiple small tours over the past few years, and they've been pretty fantastic.
Our custom-configured trailer fits up to 12 bikes (that includes the guides') plus baggage and supplies, and we rent a 15-passenger van. This gives us the flexibility to transport all the riders and gear anywhere at any time. So we can adjust routes based on weather, drive to routes from a central hub, go to restaurants or local attractions together… it’s the best of a vacation and a bike tour, combined.
NOTE: Our 2026 domestic and international small-group tours are all filled, with waitlists. You can join a waitlist if you like, by contacting us. We begin taking names for Interest Lists each fall for the next year's tours, and then hold a lottery for the tour spots. If you're not signed up for our email newsletters, they're the best way to get timely information to have a chance at a spot on a future tour. You can take care of that here.
Domestic Tours Overview
Pricing: Pricing is determined by taking the total cost to operate the tour and dividing it by the number of riders. The price shown is a well-informed estimate.
What’s Included: These are all-inclusive trips; we provide full food and beverages each day, lodging, transportation, guides, GPS route files, baggage service and more.
Daily Routes: We have a library of routes to choose from for each tour; we choose based on the group. The general baseline for a route is 40-65 miles per day, from relatively flat to several thousand feet of climbing. We have options for longer/steeper segments if riders want them, and you can SAG at any time.
Support: You’ll have two experienced BRNW guides, Jim and Burk, who have led (and entertained) riders as a team for years; one will ride with the group each day, while the other drives the support vehicle. You’ll have printed route maps and turn-by-turns available if you want, as well as Ride With GPS files for downloading to your phone or GPS device. The support vehicle will stay with the group all day, to provide rides if needed as well as mechanical assistance. There will be rest stops each day with a buffet of food and drinks, plus you’ll have access to clothing, gear, food and drink and more throughout the day.
Customized Food and Beverage: Before the tour, we’ll ask you what your preferences are for sports drinks and other beverages, fruits and vegetables, proteins, and snacks and candy – before, during and after the ride. We’ll shop accordingly, so you have your personal favorites with you on the tour. Meals are typically a light buffet for breakfast, full rest stops during the ride, an after-ride happy hour if time allows, and dinner based on the group’s preference (sit-down restaurant, takeout or a shared meal at our lodging).

International Tours Overview
Pricing: Pricing is determined by taking the total cost to operate the tour and dividing it by the number of riders. The price shown is a well-informed estimate and reflects exchange rate projections. Final payments may need to be adjusted if the exchange rate fluctuates.
What’s Included: International tours include nightly accommodations in quality hotels, guesthouses or agritourism properties, plus all breakfasts, selected dinners, GPS route files, guide(s), a van driver providing luggage transport and rider transport in case of emergency or illness, a daily briefing in a Happy Hour atmosphere, and a modest tip for the guide(s).
What’s Not Included: International tours do not include travel insurance, medical insurance, airfare or other transport to/from the start/finish locations, bicycle rentals, meals other than all breakfasts and selected dinners, alcoholic beverages (except those offered at the nightly briefing), or entrance fees to tourist sites.
Daily Routes: Routes will be defined by the specific area of a country we’re visiting. Each tour is closely vetted by our ride leaders in coordination with the tour operator. The general baseline for a route is 40-60 miles per day. The elevation may vary from relatively flat to several thousand feet of climbing, depending on where the specific tour is located. We don’t ride as a “stay together” group, and your departure and pace are at your own discretion.
Rider Expectations: These tours are designed for independent, experienced cyclists. Riders are expected to come to the ride with a well-maintained bicycle, in good health, and physically ready to accomplish the required daily riding. Riders must be able to handle on-the-road mechanicals such as flat tires, and be able to use their own navigation devices. All participants should accept responsibility for a safe and enjoyable tour.
Support: For our international tours we partner with local tour operators who are familiar with the areas we ride in. The tour operator provides a support van to transfer luggage and be available for emergency support due to injury or mechanical failures. On these international tours we generally pass through several villages where food and beverages are available. Riders are encouraged to stop and sample the local cuisine for lunches or snacks during their ride.
Unlike BRNW's domestic tours, there are no SAG vans on the routes with us. Riders are expected to cycle the entire route each day. If you're unable to complete the day's mileage due to an injury or mechanical failure, a support van will be available to transport you and your bike to the next hotel.
