What's On Tap for BRNW in 2026
Hi, everyone—
It’s time! We’ve just finished our prerides of Oregon 2026 and Washington 2026, and we’re genuinely excited about them both. Now we’ve got our entire 2026 schedule worked out, and we want to share specifics with you.
You provided us with great feedback on our recent rider survey. We had enough interest in the three potential tours – Oregon, Washington and Walla Walla – that we’ve decided to do all three! There was enthusiastic response to the two “regular tours,” which of course are the central core of what we do. And those who liked the idea of the Walla Walla spoke-and-hub tour really liked the concept.
Let’s get right to an important point: Neither of our 2025 summer tours sold out, so we’re taking a risk by offering three tours in 2026. We honestly don’t know why we fell short on 2025 rider numbers – was it a blip, or a trend? If it’s a trend, that’s pretty concerning. We're really hoping 2026 has full rides.
You may already know this, but here’s the way our nonprofit model works: We set our budget and pricing for each event to just break even if we get 275 riders. If we get 300 riders, we sock away any surplus in our reserve savings. When we fall short on riders (like this year) we dip into our reserves, which are reasonably solid but certainly not limitless.
So it’s truly important for you to join us in 2026 if you can, and for everyone to talk up BRNW tours to other riders (not that you don't already). We want to be able to keep on doing this for you!
But let’s get to the details. Here are the dates, and below that are descriptions of each tour.
- BRNW Oregon 2026: June 20-27
- BRNW Washington 2026: July 11-18
- Walla Walla on Wheels: June 7-12

- Available for Custom Private Small-Group Tours: January-March / August-September
Registration Dates
We’ll be doing two different rounds of registration for 2026. The first will be solely for our two traditional summer tours, and the second will be for all other tours.

All Other Tours:
Regular Registration – open to everyone: Friday, Dec. 12, 6:00pm Pacific

We’re working on our budget to determine 2026 pricing – we’re getting bids from vendors, and finalizing our 2025 books. We’ll announce 2026 event pricing as soon as we can.
Tour Info
BRNW Oregon 2026: “Choose a Different Road”
McMinnville – Philomath – Alsea – Waldport – Siletz – Cloverdale (layover) – McMinnville
You know when you see one of those signs that shows a curve ahead in the main road you’re on, but it also shows that there’s a smaller road veering off? And you think, Hmm, I wonder where that road goes? That smaller road is what this tour is about. Oregon Wine Country, the Coast Range and the Central Coast are spectacular – and familiar. Highway 99 down the valley. Highways 18 and 20 over to the beach. Highway 101 along the coast. But there are so many other roads you should ride – ones that shine a relaxing light on what makes these places beautiful. Quiet, winding, I-can’t-believe-there’s-a-road-here roads. That’s where we’re going. One way to sum it up: In xxx miles of riding for the week, we’ll be on highways only xx% of the time.
BRNW Washington 2026: “Bays to Baker”
Bellingham – Anacortes – Sedro-Woolley (layover) – Kendall (layover) – Blaine – Bellingham
It’s hard to believe that in the 25 years BRNW has been doing tours outside Oregon, we’ve never been to the Northwest corner of the state (we’re not counting the Olympic Peninsula here). And once you ride here you’ll be overjoyed that we finally visited this magical region. Hours and hours of riding beside bays, straits, harbors and rivers, on the kind of roads where you can let your shoulders down and think more about the scenery than the traffic. Serpentine back roads twisting through deep forest. Farm-to-market lanes bisecting a bounty of agriculture, from blueberries to sweet corn. And a signature climb to the jaw-dropping vistas of Mount Baker, including Heather Meadows, Mt. Shuksan and Artist Point. It’s a week that will delight the explorer in you.
Walla Walla on Wheels
All our tours are built around the riding routes. And sometimes the routes are the main star of the show. But spending quality time in Walla Walla – while riding as much or as little as you want? That’s a different level of overall experience. Whitman College, the city of Walla Walla, the local wineries, the exquisite restaurants and the local merchants are rolling out the red carpet for you. Stay in a modern dorm room, an artfully rejuvenated motel or a stately historic hotel. Eat farm-to-table meals at Whitman’s Cleveland Commons, named “the healthiest place to eat in Eastern Washington,” and also try some of the fine dining restaurants that have blossomed alongside the renowned wine scene. Ride the short option, ride the long route, or take a day off the bike to enjoy some authentic local activities. Bring your e-bike, bring your non-riding partner – or both. Learn about Whitman’s innovative and reparative Šináata program, a four-year, full-ride scholarship for Tribal members – which will receive 100% of the net proceeds of this event. There are so many good reasons to immerse yourself in this experience – but here's the most basic appeal: enjoy five days of riding, eating, drinking and relaxing… and only unpack once.
Santa Barbara Small-Group Tours
- Week One, April 5-11: Mellow
- Week Two, April 12-18: Brisk
- Week Three, April 19-25: Mellow
There’s just something about Santa Barbara that you have to experience firsthand to understand. It’s a vibe, a pace, a style… and an appreciation of the good life. Our spring tours immerse you in all of it. Five days of riding curated scenic routes that won’t ruin you (unless you like that sort of thing; we can arrange it). We stay in a classy historic hotel a block from the beach, with Happy Hour in the courtyard after the ride. We eat dinner from a different restaurant every day. We walk downtown to get gelato or ice cream, a lot. And we plan off-the-bike activities at the riders’ request. It’s the perfect way to kick-start your riding season, in the relaxed atmosphere of sunny SoCal. This is the third year we’ve done this, and it’s not surprising there’s usually a waitlist to get in. (Note: Please sign up for a week that realistically fits your riding style and speed. Week 2 features more challenging routes and faster speeds.)
Southern Utah Small-Group Tour
It’s not a hard sell: Ride in all five national parks, plus a handful of national monuments and some other places that are equally spectacular but less well-known. It’s nine days of riding, with one day off to explore Moab. And the beauty part is that we have a van and trailer that will fit everyone, their bikes, their luggage, and the drinks and food – so we can cherry-pick the best roads to ride, and customize each day for the optimal experience. We stay in a combination of upscale lodges, sprawling Airbnb houses and fun motels, and we eat like royalty. It’s truly the best way there is to ride through the unbelievable variety of stunning landscapes this region offers.
Sicily Small-Group Tour
In the next few days some lucky riders are embarking on our first BRNW-affiliated small-group tour in Europe. If all goes well, the plan is to run a new one next fall – this time in Sicily! The proposed route is a 15-day trip, with 11 cycling stages. Each stage offers unique views, ancient traditions, incredible historical and architectural heritage, and authentic Sicilian culture. This tour can take up to 20 riders, and we’ll deliver more details before registration opens.
Custom Private Small-Group Tours
If you have a group of friends, club members or even just a really big family, you can work with us to create a customized small-group tour. We’ll take up to 10 people (no more), and together we’ll build a tour for you. Where do you want to ride? How many days? What kind of mileage and climbing? What kind of accommodations? (No tent-camping on these...) We’ll put it all together, provide two guides plus a van and a bike trailer, and treat you to exactly the trip you want. These tours are subject to guide availability. Contact us directly if you’d like to discuss a potential custom tour.
Looking forward to hitting the road with you next year!
Jim
